Unable to boot into ubuntu 12.04 alongside windows 8

I am trying to boot into Ubuntu 12.04 from windows 8 uefi mode. I created
live USB ubuntu and disabled in menu secure boot and legacy boot as well
(actualy i tried every combination of this setting). After saving changes
and restart i get only black screen. sometimes with small white blinking
lines.
I really want to instal latest Ubutnu with long term support. Please tell
me, what am I doing wrong, or what i have to do. Thanks
